I knew getting a copy of this book was a bad idea because I couldn't get anything done! This book has been sitting on my shelf for days and I can't stop trying not to ignore it. I just got to read the book! Even if I didn't manage to finish some stuff, this is totally worth it! I've been in love with Cecy Robson's series ever since the first book. I just can't help it. Action, hot guys, kick-ass heroine, I mean who could resist that right?

Review: A Cursed Moon by Cecy Robson

Title: A Cursed Moon
Author: Cecy Robson
Series: A Weird Girls series book 2.5 (Novella)
Genre: Urban fantasy (Demons, Witches, Weres, Vampires)

"Bren is a cocky, brash hound of a werewolf who loathes the idea of belonging to Aric’s pack—much less finding a mate. But Bren’s hotheaded behavior lands him in the doghouse when he defies Aric’s authority in front of his pack, bringing up a sore subject that’s bound to make the Alpha wolf’s blood boil…

Luckily for him, no one can stay mad at Bren and his wild charm for long. And when some frightening ghosts launch a hostile paranormal takeover, Bren will team up with Celia to take down the evil ghouls before they hurt someone they both love…"
-Goodreads.com

Cecy Robson never fails to entertain us, even in her novellas. I had a really great time reading this novella. It enticed me to read first before actually studying when I finally got a hold of a copy. I going to have trouble with my tests tomorrow :P but it's totally worth it.

Review: United We Spy by Ally Carter

Title: United We Spy
Author: Ally Carter
Series: Gallagher Girls series book 6
Genre: Urban fantasy (Vampires, Ghosts, Ghouls), Romance

"Cammie Morgan has lost her father and her memory, but in the heart-pounding conclusion to the best-selling Gallagher Girls series, she finds her greatest mission yet. Cammie and her friends finally know why the terrorist organization called the Circle of Cavan has been hunting her. Now the spy girls and Zach must track down the Circle’s elite members to stop them before they implement a master plan that will change Cammie—and her country—forever."
-Goodreads.com

I can't believe Ally Carter already ended this series. *sniff* I still want more! I didn't really have that much expectations when I started this book because it has been a long time since I've read the last book so when I started reading this, I'm trying real hard to remember the details from the previous books.

Review: The Rising by Kelley Armstrong

Title: The Rising
Author: Kelley Armstrong
Series: Darkness Rising book 3
Genre: Adventure, Supernatural, Young Adult
Status: Series Ended

"Things are getting desperate for Maya and her friends. Hunted by the powerful St. Clouds and now a rival Cabal as well, they're quickly running out of places to hide. And with the whole world thinking they died in a helicopter crash, it's not like they can just go to the authorities for help.

All they have is the name and number of someone who might be able to give them a few answers. Answers to why they're so valuable, and why their supernatural powers are getting more and more out of control.

But Maya is unprepared for the truths that await her. And now, like it or not, she'll have to face down some demons from her past if she ever hopes to move on with her life. Because Maya can't keep running forever."

I think Kelley managed to save this series. This is the best book in the series. Though, still not as good as the Darkest Powers series. Yes, I will compare both of the series until the end. I think I've prolonged not reading this book and I'm glad that this series is something that I can leave in my shelf for good.

I could seriously say that I love this book. It's seriously better than the first one. Actually, I was panicking because I dont think I could finish reading this book and put up my review before the book tour starts. However, the great story of this book just swept me away. I actually finished this book way before my deadline and much faster than the first one.

Review: Lichgates by S.M. Boyce

Title: Lichgates
Author: S.M. Boyce
Series: Grimoire Saga series book 1
Genre: Young Adult, Adventure, Supernatural (Fairy)

Kara is still having a hard time accepting her mother's death. She spends most of her time alone doing hikes, when she stumble upon a lichgate. She found a book called the Grimoire that contains information of a world that she didn't know exists - Ourea. The book gave Kara powers beyond her wildest imagination. However, there is a price to pay.

Every being in Ourea is out to get her to wield the power of the book, that only Kara could read. She needs to learn fast and not trust anyone in order to survive but she can't seem to separate herself from the Stelian prince, Braeden. Braeden has been keeping a secret all his life and he wants the book to give himself another chance.

The two of them could only trust and help each other to survive.

I didn't expect to actually like this book. First of all, I have an allergy with faery books. Second, it's young adult. Don't get me wrong I don't have any problem with young adult. It's just I've been avoiding young adult books lately because of the naivety and lack of originality of some but this book is a different story. I needed to finish this book for a book tour and it isn't anything what I mentioned. Moreover, this is my first time reading an indie book, which is actually a good experience.

Review: Being Kalli by Rebecca Berto

Title: Being Kalli
Author: Rebecca Berto
Series: N/A
Genre: New-Adult, Contemporary, Romance

"Kalli Perkins makes it a habit of shutting her mouth, except to please a guy. She would say she goes off like a starved animal in bed, but Kalli doesn’t have sex in beds. She does it in hallways, in parks, in parties. She comes as a package deal.
Great sex. No strings attached. Never alone together; always in public.

One night at a party, Kalli makes a bet with her friend, Nate, that could change everything. But she didn’t count on him. Nate’s very capable of satisfying her, not only under her clothes, but in her heart, too.

She just doesn’t know it yet."

I actually requested this book from the author and I just want to say to Rebecca Berto that I'm sorry the review is this late. I just can't find the time to read the book but I still thank you for giving me a copy. The synopsis of this book just captured me which is why I asked for a copy. I mean when you've read the synopsis weren't you curious on how this book would actually end? Well, I was.

Title: Tick to the Tock
Author: Matthew Turner
Series: N/A
Genre: Contemporary, Drama

The first thing I want to say about this book is that... I'VE FINISH IT! It's not like it's bad or anything; it's just that I don't really have the time to read the book. I have so much schoolwork that I nearly missed my deadline for reviewing this book. I've already tried cutting back on my blog work just to accommodate my studying. Well, enough of my problems, back to the book. I didn't really know what this book would give me. I have no idea what so ever about it. I just remembered signing up for the tour. I only know is that it has a great cover, so Gothic :)

I find this book a real journey. You could see different places with just this book. Everything is detailed that you could see everything, smell everything & taste everything. I really applaud the author for being able to do that, most especially for me who doesn't have a very detailed imagination. It's around the world with a book. I think that is one of the most interesting aspects of the book.

At first, I don't really know where the book will go. I mean it's obvious that Dante will die in the end but I don't know what would happen in between. It was really interesting because you're waiting for something to happen. Suspense, in short. It's very much like waiting for Dante's attacks, which I totally like. I liked seeing how he weakens bit by bit. It just makes it all so real. Yes, I'm mean and morbid but it just captivates me and you can't deny it is something you'll be waiting for as well.

On the other hand, Dante's situation is life changing, not just for the people around him, but to the people who read his story. It's really inspiring and heart warming. I love seeing how his friends struggle with themselves and see themselves in a new light. Though, I do think this book is quite the same with all the others, where you need to find peace or see the world in a different light. The unique part is that the people around him were also affected.

I think this book is really important or close to the heart of the author. I'm quite interested, how this book came to be. I thank the author for sharing a part of himself to us. :)

Synopsis:
TAUT IS A STANDALONE NOVEL - you do NOT have to read any of the Rook and Ronin books first.

Ford Aston is known for many things. Being an emotionless, messed up bastard, a freakishly smart social outcast, and a cold, domineering master who keeps "pets" instead of girlfriends.

And after Rook broke his heart, he plans to keep it that way.

Ashleigh is known for nothing, and that's exactly what she's got going for her. She's broke, stranded in the mountains with a three month old baby, and Ford Aston is screwing with her head.

Big. Time.

And she plans to mess with his right back.

It's a coy game at first, filled with flirting, and innuendo--but Ford soon realizes something is not quite right with Ashleigh. In fact, something is seriously, seriously wrong and the closer they get to their final destination, the closer Ford gets to the truth.

One night of devastation, self-loathing, and emptiness turns into the best thing that ever happened to Ford Aston. But one day of in-your-face reality threatens Ashleigh's whole existence.

******

Since A LOT of people have been asking here is the scoop on how this book fits in with my Rook & Ronin series:

Ford first appears in Rook and Ronin #2, Manic. He has a bigger role in Panic, R&R #3, and then he has a novella, called SLACK. This TAUT book is only FORD. It's not really part of the R&R series, as that plot has all been sidelined for this one romance book.

Blitz: Knowing Jack by Rachel Curtis

Knowing Jack by Rachel Curtis
Publication date: January 17th 2014
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Synopsis:
I am not a slut, although I’ve been called one often enough. Yeah, I spent three months screwing one of my college professors, but I was crazy about the guy. Then he broke up with me.

I am not a bitch, although people like to say I am. I kept our relationship secret. I’m not responsible for telling the university administrators about it, but a lot of students still blame me for getting their favorite professor fired.

I am not a drama queen, although everyone thinks I am now. When I got a few nasty messages, I just deleted them. When I got the threat, I assumed it was someone being stupid. I still think that’s all it was. My parents worry, though, so they hired me a bodyguard. Now Jack follows me around, intimidating everyone who approaches me and looking obnoxiously hot.

This is what I am. I’m Chloe. I’m a twenty-year-old art history major. Kind of shy, although I pretend not to be. Stubborn enough to stay here for my senior year, even though everyone hates me.

And I’m stuck with Jack.

He calls me “Princess,” but I’m not a princess either.

Knowing Jack is a New Adult contemporary romance and includes adult content and language. The plot of the book is fully resolved at the end, but the last page includes a hanging teaser for the next book in the series.
