Review: Magic on the Storm by Devon Monk

Title: Magic on the Storm
Author: Devon Monk
Series: Allie Beckstromg series book 4
Genre: Adult, Urban fantasy (Witches)
Status: Dropped

Allison Beckstrom is committed to her work tracing illegal spells. Now, there's an apocalyptic storm bearing down on Portland, and when it hits, all the magic in the area will turn unstable and destructive. To stop it from taking out the entire city, Allie and her lover, the mysterious Zayvion Jones, must work with the Authority-the enigmatic arbiters of all things magic-and take a stand against a magical wildstorm that will obliterate all in its path...

It's over people. I gave up. Nothing is coming out from reading this. Though, this book is a total cliff hanger that you'd love to read the next book immediately but the next book just bored me to death. I'm also sick and tired of all the mysteries, questions and stupidity of the book. I'll just give a short review for this book for the sake of those still interested. Also, I'm sorry because I, again, can't remember much about this book.

The new thing about this book is that it doesn't start where the last book left off. It started after Allie is getting her physical training. Note only physical. This book centers on the Authority, which is making everything more confusing. I don't really get the powerplay. This is mainly because Allie doesn't know how to play the game. Sad really. There are some actions in this book but it was so weird. You could see that the author is not used to action. The fights were jumping from one scene to the other so don't expect much from the action department.

The worst thing that happened in this book is the ending. I didn't like what happened to Zay. I mean Devon, how could you :(
