After getting stabbed in the gut and almost bleeding to death, Kate Daniels is back in action. She prepared for the dinner in underwear for Curran because of the bet she lost. However, His Furriness didn't show up. Kate locked up her emotions and just continue on with her life. She has a new case to distract her. A hooded group of people are causing panic in different places and leaving behind dead corpses that could cause an epidemic. Kate needs to find the people behind the attacks before an epidemic consumes Atlanta. It seems Kate's family problem is getting bigger and bigger, as well. After being found out by Hugh, the new warlord of Roland, Kate is in a bigger trouble than she was. Also, Kate is going to meet another family member, who seems to be causing the problems in Atlanta and in other places. It seems that she came from a family of psychotics.
A heartache and a psychotic family member out to kill all the people important to her, this is just another day for Kate Daniels.
This book is great, not as great as the last one, but still great! I don't know why but the book just swept by, not really leaving a big big impression.
The fight wasn't really that great here. It was somehow too easy. Her relative is a psychotic bitch but she was able to handle the events well. Still, Kate kicked some major butt and more blood. I just hope that she could get more powerful and learn to use her growing powers. The really really plus side in this book is that her relationship with Curran is taking a bloom. Everything seems to be going well between them, which took 4 books to happen. The long wait has finally stopped.
I don't know what else to say. I can't remember anything from the book. I can only say that it was actually great.
